I just got off the phone with my best friend, Dr. Linda Tuncay, Assistant Professor of Marketing at Loyola University. I've been a guest speaker in many of Dr. Tuncay's classes and as of this fall, a lucky recipient of her students' help with one of my sites, Gals' Guide.
For 10 weeks, three separate groups will look at the Gals' Guide model, receive coaching from me, then provide their ideas for improving the site. I'll present the sites challenges and future needs and students will have the opportunity to tear things apart, evaluate the business model and come back to me with recommendations.
I know other schools do this and I highly encourage the partnerships and idea sharing to continue - especially on a local level. These students, under AND grad, will most likely contribute to their own start-ups soon. What better way to get hands-on experience than helping another start-up?

Tell her to call me next time she needs a business to tinker with! :)
