CTR just learned of an exclusive gathering of 70 hand-selected participants this weekend at ORD Camp. Organized in similar fashion to the FooCamp conference format, the invitees are free to present and discuss issues of interest to themselves. Unfortunately, if you're not one of the invited guests, you're out of luck. But don't despair, a BarCamp might just be the ticket for you.
It's worth noting that this isn't the only conference in the past year to choose a closed format. Organizers of that conference eventually listened to community feedback and made changes so that a wider, more diverse audience could participate. We think that approach serves the Chicago tech community better in the long run.
